Developing Safe Healthcare Software Hands-On Workshop

This 1-day Workshop is ideal for anyone who manages healthcare software design - clinicians, programmers or managers.  You will be provided with skills and tools that will help you design safer health systems applications.  In this Intensive Course we will:
● Overview basic clinical safety theory and the special problems facing Application Designers in Healthcare
● Learn about the London Protocol for investigating safety incidents and use it to analyse an incident
● Explore the practical safety issues around capture, exchange and presentation of clinical data
● Work through a hands-on case study of a serious clinical safety incident

Trainer: Grahame Grieve B.Sc. MAACB

Grahame is a veteran of healthcare software product development, clinical safety, integration architecture and standards implementation.  He has conceived, developed and sold laboratory and EHR information systems.

In 2009, Grahame was awarded the HISA Don Walker Award for Health Informatics.
